This blog is mainly piccies, which is probably the best way to tell you about Porto. If you get a chance, go, it is beautiful.

The drive down from Santander was pretty easy until the Portuguese border, then once we were in the hills we had rain and intermittent fog, sometime pretty serious fog. Anyhow we made it, 653 Km from the ferry to Porto, with chums waiting for us and in time for dinner.

Highlights of Porto? Bridges, mostly spectacular, a port (that's the booze not the harbour) tour, a cable car ride, which was for me fairly terrifying and the views of Porto's colourful houses from the harbour front all the way up the hill. Porto is hilly so be ready for that. We will go back to better explore the back streets and ally ways and just to soak up Porto's rich culture.

So, here's just a small selection of piccies.

As I write this blog we've now reached the Algarve, which was another 532Km but a really easy drive. The weather's moved on as well, more south, sunny and warmer - today 21 degrees. We spent our first afternoon in the Algarve at what has to be one of our favourite beaches, Praia de Sao Rafael, just west of Albufeira.

Will blog more when we have more piccies or news, but for now,

Saude!
